3-Day Diet: Easy & Effective Meal Plan To Lose 6 LBS Fast

Want to look slimmer for a night out this weekend?

If you are looking for really fast, dare I say instant results, then read on.

This is a very popular and famous diet plan among the ones with a lack of patience.

Don’t get annoyed by the fact that I mention “3 days” often throughout the text.

The reason is that this diet plan is really not intended to be held long term nor it’s on the list of healthy and recommended diets.

Many “adopt” this eating regime as a regular diet but only cyclically by repeating it now and then with a few weeks of break between the diets.

If you decide to do it, do it for ONLY 3 days in a row to avoid any negative side effects.

The negative side is that you will be able to preserve weight loss results only by implementing a healthier style of eating after the 3 days of dieting are over.

But this should be logical by itself, right?

If you get back to eating unhealthy processed food, of course, you’ll gain back the weight that you have lost with this diet.

That is why I suggest once the 3-day diet is over, you continue and maintain the new weight by switching to a more long term style of eating such as keto diet and regular exercise.

Otherwise, you’ll be a victim of the yo-yo effect.

There is nothing miraculous about this three-day diet.

Simply put, it is a low-calorie diet, so your body will burn more energy than it will receive.

Weight loss is the result of a significant reduction in calorie intake, and what is lost is mostly retained water and in some small percentage is fat.

That’s it!

During this period of drastic calorie reduction, you can expect to lose between 4-7 lbs of body weight.

3-day diet plan

Introductory remark: Below you’ll notice that I often use cup as a unit of measure, so let me tell you exactly how much is that. So, this “cup” is a standard cup used for tea which is around 2-3 dl (6.7 – 10 oz)



  • black coffee or tea (slightly sweetened)
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 1 slice of toast
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter


  • 1/2 cup of tuna
  • 1 slice of toast
  • coffee or tea (slightly sweetened) or water


  • 100 grams (3.5 oz) of any cooked lean meat
  • 1 cup of boiled beans
  • 1 cup of carrots
  • 1 cup of vanilla ice cream
  • 1 medium sized apple
  • coffee or tea (slightly sweetened) or water



  • black coffee or tea (slightly sweetened)
  • 1 boiled egg
  • 1 slice of toast
  • 1 banana


  • 1 cup of non-fat cheese
  • 1 slice of toast
  • coffee or tea (slightly sweetened) or water


  • 2 sausages
  • 1/2 cup of carrots
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli
  • 1/2 cup of low-fat vanilla ice cream
  • coffee or tea (slightly sweetened) or water



  • Black coffee or tea (slightly sweetened)
  • Slice of low-fat soft cheese (50 grams – 1.7 oz)
  • 1 slice of toast
  • 1 apple


  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • 1 slice of toast
  • coffee or tea (slightly sweetened) or water


  • 1 cup of tuna
  • 1 cup of carrots
  • 1 cup of cauliflower
  • 1 cup of season fruit
  • 1/2 cup of low-fat vanilla ice cream
  • coffee or tea (slightly sweetened) or water


Food that you are allowed to substitute:

  • Orange instead of grapefruit
  • Tuna instead of cheese and vice versa
  • Cooled yogurt instead of ice cream
  • Beans instead of broccoli
  • Cauliflower instead of broccoli
  • Beets instead of carrots


As already mentioned, this diet doesn’t belong to a club of healthy eating plans, but on the other hand, it gets fast results. It’ll help you to shred that few pounds in order to perfectly fit in your favorite dress. It is highly recommended that only healthy people do this diet, once again, only for 3 days in a row.
